Only about 60% of children attend primary school form age 6-11, and less than 50% attend secondary school from age 12-18. 9 years of school is manditory, but it is not enforced.

School is free, but the supplies needed are not. The poor cannot afford to use their precious money on school supplies. Only about 67.9% of the people can read.

Once inside the schools, teachers focus more on memorization than teaching other things.
